PB4L Initiatives

  • Values lessons are planned for and taught weekly expectations are consistently clear
  • Learners positive behaviours are frequently acknowledged with ‘Tiri tickets’
  • Tiri Tickets accumulate and they can be ‘spent’ at the PB4L ‘shop’
  • PB4L is taught and celebrated at assembly
  • CARE ambassadors are leaders selected from the Senior school as role models in the playground and around the school supporting playground behaviour and friendship
  • PB4L signage is visible around the school stating clear messaging for behaviour expectations
  • New Students in years 2 – 6 join the ‘Tiri Newcomers’ Club to welcome them to school and support their start

Restorative Practice

Tirimoana is a Restorative Practice School

PB4L Restorative Practice is a relational approach, focussing on building and maintaining positive relationships across the school community.

It provides a framework for the school community to use best- practice, tools and techniques so mutual respect, inclusion, mana, and personal responsibility are maintained.
