Tirimoana School is part of the Te Atatū Kāhui Ako with 8 other schools, including Rutherford College, Rangeview Intermediate, Te Atatū Intermediate, Freyberg school, Edmonton Primary, Rutherford Primary, Matipo Primary and Peninsula Primary.

The purpose of the Kāhui Ako is to work together in unity; to champion, advocate and lead our teachers, learners and whānau in pursuit of:

  • Effective school-wide educational practices supporting teachers to grow in their pedagogical and subject content knowledge especially in Mathematics and Statistics.
  • Whānau home-school partnerships on learner achievement expectations at each curriculum level.
  • Seamlessly transitioning and leading effective school success for all learners across each transition from ECE, primary, intermediate and secondary

In 2022 the specific focus is on Mathematics and Statistics, priority learners and relationships.

At Tirimoana several teachers have specific within school CoL roles. Our principal Mr Kaiser was the foundation Lead Principal for the Te Atatū Kahui Ako.
