Virtue of the Fortnight

Virtues are universally valued by all cultures. They are the oldest ideas in the world. Virtues are the content of our character and they exist within each child in potential.

Each fortnight throughout the year we focus as a school on awakening and fostering a particular virtue.

In Week 7 and Week 8 of Term 3 the virtue is Excellence.

• Excellence is doing your best.
• It is giving your very best to any task you do or any relationship you have.
• Excellence is effort guided by a noble purpose.
• It is a desire for perfection.
• The perfection of a seed becomes the fruit.
• When you practice excellence, you bring your gifts to fruition.
