Our Library

A Great Place to be

Tirimoana School has a well-stocked library which caters for all of the children.  It is divided into picture books for both junior and senior children, junior fiction, fiction for older readers, non-fiction and reference areas, with stock numbers exceeding 5,000.

The library is situated on the western side of the school. A feature of the library is the large floor to ceiling window overlooking a tropical garden. This area contains a pool, with a fountain, that is the home of goldfish and two turtles.

Lesley Wyatt is our library manager, who always welcomes voluntary assistance in the preparation of resources throughout the year. Mrs Sharon Croft works closely with Lesley to ensure that our library supports the delivery of our school curriculum.

A New Initiative

Our library is now open for parents and children on Monday and Thursday mornings from 8.30am.  This is a great opportunity for parents, grandparents or other family to look at and read books with children before school.
