Tirimoana School was opened in 1969.
The school is currently classified as Decile 6.
The expected student roll is close to 600.
We currently employ 28 teaching staff.
We currently have 24 classrooms.
The Board of trustees introduced an Enrolment Scheme and Enrolment Zone on 1June 2000.
Tirimoana means a 'view of the sea' in the Maori language.
The school accepts the enrolment of international students. It is an authorised signatory to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.
The school caters for the education of boys and girls from age 5 years, at Year levels 1 to 6.
The school principal is Mr Peter Kaiser who was appointed in January 1992.
