Vision Map

During Term 2, 2009 our Enviro Team designed and created the school Enviro Vision Map. The ideas and vision for our school have been developed over the years with input from past and present students and teachers, our principal Mr Kaiser and our B.O.T.

Mrs Hannah Fraser, Year 3 Team Leader, and a group of very keen students worked hard to bring the Vision Map to fruition.

You are welcome to come to school and look at the Vision Map - symbolised by a beautiful tree on the wall in our hall. The Enviro students recorded all of our ideas on the leaves and we will continue to add to it as we achieve further Enviro successes.

Thank you for supporting us in the achievement of our Green Gold Award in 2009. 

Over 2010 and 2011 our Enviro Group has expanded. Mrs Louise Graham and Ms Mandy Vanderwee lead a large group of students.  They meet every Thursday afternoon to plan and to work on Enviro activities for the school and to learn about the importance of sustainability. They are currently working on several important projects - new developments in Te Rakau Whenua and a 'Kauri Nursery Grove' with the Curriculum team at the end of Room 23. This garden will link to our School Curriculum learning model.
